The Rainbow Tree at Manchester Pride 2025

Event details

On 23rd August 2025, The Rainbow Tree proudly joined the Manchester Pride Parade,
celebrating under this year’s powerful theme: LOVE.

Our group brought together Bangladeshi, British Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Libyan, and wider South Asian LGBTQ+ voices in a vibrant, visible, and united presence. Participants showcased handmade banners, posters, and cultural artworks created in the Art Camp, carrying strong messages of identity, pride, and justice — including the call to #Remove377PenalCodeFromBangladesh.

The celebration highlighted the richness of South Asian heritage within the LGBTQ+ community, blending traditional dress, music, and storytelling with bold advocacy. The event was a resounding success, made possible through the generous sponsorship of Andrew Lumsden’s Grand Camp Maisie Fund, and stood as a proud reminder that LOVE connects us all, across cultures, identities, and communities.
